Tina Turner, Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Passes Away at 83 | GVS News

GVS is saddened to report that legendary singer Tina Turner has passed away at the age of 83. According to her representative, Turner died peacefully at her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland after a long illness. Turner began her career in the 1950s during the early years of rock and roll and went on to become an MTV phenomenon. In the 1980s, she won six of her eight Grammy Awards and landed a dozen songs on the Top 40, including “Typical Male,” “The Best,” “Private Dancer,” and “Better Be Good to Me.” Despite suffering abuse from her former husband and musical partner Ike Turner, Tina’s story is one of incredible triumph. She transformed herself into an international sensation and an elegant powerhouse. GVS sends our condolences to Tina Turner’s family, friends, and fans around the world.
