Did Pak Army send aid to India?

Recently, a video went viral on the YouTube claiming that Pakistan has sent medical aid to India. Is this an authentic news?

A video claiming that Pakistan recently sent medical aid to India has surfaced on the internet. The video, which was posted on YouTube is currently trending. However, it must be noted that Pakistan has taken no such action as of yet.

According to the video, a Pakistani jumbo cargo jet landed in an airport in Delhi carrying various medical supplies including oxygen cylinders and Covid-kits. After receiving the supplies, the video stated that India echoed with “Pakistan Zindabad.”

The video also claimed that Modi initially refused to accept any help from Pakistan but due to the pressure of political actors and the alarming Covid crisis in India, he had to give in.

As per the video, apart from Pakistan, no other country had sent any aid to India, which again, is false. Several countries recently sent aid to India, which included the UK, Russia, Germany, UAE, France, Taiwan, Thailand, Romania, Ireland, and Bahrain. Even the US sent three shipments of emergency relief material to India after initially refusing at first.

Pakistan on the other hand has only recently offered to help India; therefore it is highly unlikely that a jumbo cargo jet from Pakistan would already by delivering medical aid to Delhi Airport in India.

Nevertheless, Pakistan’s offer of help to India has gained immense appreciation from both Pakistanis and Indians as it was considered an act of goodwill. India has a rich history of hostility towards Pakistan, but despite the enmity, Pakistan expressed its support for the Indians during these trying times.

Even PM Khan expressed solidarity with the people of India as they battle a dangerous wave of Covid-19.

Once again, Pakistan has only offered to help India by providing relief items including ventilators, Bi-PAP, digital X-ray machines, and PPEs.

“As a gesture of solidarity with the people of India in the wake of the current wave of COVID-19, Pakistan has offered to provide relief support to India including ventilators, BiPAP, digital X-ray machines, PPEs [personal protective equipment] and related items,” Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

India has yet to accept Pakistan’s offer.
