Pakistani Army Chief vows to defeat Indian designs to destroy Pakistan

After last weeks attacks on Pakistani cities the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has gone on the frontal assault attacking on Afghanistan and Indian designs to support terror in Pakistan.

On Tuesday, when visiting troops on the Line of Control (LoC) at Mattewala, Munaawar sectors, he said that unprovoked ceasefire violations by India along the LoC were an attempt to distract the Pakistan Army from its fight against terrorism. He also added that Kulbhushan Yadav is one such evidence of those efforts and his case will be taken to logical conclusion.

He went on to say that Indian firing on the LOC was an attempt to divert the world’s attention from its atrocities against the Kashmiris in Indian held Kashmir and to divert Pakistani army away from its focus on militancy and terror in the country.

He added that, “Pakistan Army soldiers are known for their professional competence, motivation and selfless devotion for defense of our motherland and are backbone of Pakistan Army.”

Kulbhushan Yadav, was a retired Indian Navy officer, and was arrested from Balochistan in March, 2016. He confessed that he was working for the Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to create instability in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Karachi.

In December 2016, former Indian Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh on Indian TV channel Aaj Takk, backed Indian NSA’s Ajit Doval’s policy, saying India must use all overt and covert means to bleed Pakistan from inside. He also went on to say that India should put oil on existing separatism fires in places such as Baluchistan. This statement from Gen Bikram, further reinforced fears in Pakistan that India is behind the scourge of terrorism in the country.

According to the ISPR, Indian forces have committed over 178 ceasefire violations along the LoC and the Working Boundary in 2016, killing 19 people and injuring 80 others.
