Rajnikanth unveils his plans to enter politics

The popular Tamilian actor Rajnikanth announced his plans to enter politics. He shared the news with his fans and followers in a speech he delivered on December 31st, 2017.

In his speech, Rajnikanth informed that he will start his own party. He aims to contest the next general elections of 2021.

In a statement, he said he plans to field his candidates in all the 234 constituencies.

The actor said, “I am not entering politics for post or position. if I had wanted it, I would have got it in [in] 1996 itself.”

“If at the age of 45 I had not aspired for that, why would I do it at the age of 68?”

The Tamilian actor said his politics will be based on spirituality, not on religion or caste.

“The whole thing has to change. The system has to change. Democracy has been corrupted. It needs to be cleansed,” he added.

“From the days of kings and rulers looting other countries and kingdoms, we have come to a level where rulers are looting their own country,” said Rajinikanth.

Regarding his election campaign, he said that he is yet to decide if he will take part in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections.

The actor urged that “This is not a film. This is politics. We have to spread ourselves to every street in the country.”

He said the gloomy state of affairs in his Tamil Nadu has urged him to enter the politics. As he wants to challenge the undemocratic style ruling his state.

“Over the last one year, the happenings in Tamil Nadu have made the state a laughing stock for people from other states. If I do not act, I would feel guilty for the rest of my life,”

Many of his colleagues have appreciated his decision. Including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and other actors too extended their warm wishes to Rajnikanth.
