Sindh Health Commission pays visit to Hamdard University

A delegation of Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) paid a visit to the Faculty of Eastern Medicine, Hamdard University, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, a press release said. Heading the delegation was Dr. Minhaj Qudwai, CEO, Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC), accompanied by Dr. FarhanaMemon, Director, Registration and Accreditation, and Hakim Sajjad Husain, Dy. Director, Health (Tibb), Govt. of Sindh, a press release read.

Mrs. Sadia Rashid, Chancellor, Hamdard University and President, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Prof. Dr. Shabibul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. Hakim Abdul Hannan, Ex-Vice Chancellor, Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. EjazMohiuddin, Dean, Faculty of Eastern Medicine, Prof. Dr. Ahsana Dar Farooq, Adjunct Professor, Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. Ghazala Hafeez Rizwani, Dean Research, Hamdard University, Prof. Dr. Hk. Shahabuddin, Ex-Dean, Faculty of Eastern Medicine and faculty members were also present at the event.

This exposed people from all over the world to our nation’s most famous traditional drink, its rosy flavor deep-set in our roots and its herbal medicinal benefits that keep us fresh all year round, especially during Ramadan!

Last month, in a corporate Social responsibility gig, Hamdard foundation had organized an awareness-raising session in Peshawar, which suggested that the introduction of special lessons in the school and college syllabi to keep the young generation away from corruption. They were addressing the Shoora-e-Hamdard monthly session, which was arranged by the Hamdard Foundation Pakistan.

The title was “Effective accountability, stamping out corruption and its impact on the national economy.” A noted cultural activist, columnist, author and Shoora-e-Hamdard Speaker, Dr. Salahuddin, presided over the programme. A senior poet of the Seraiki language from Dera Ismail Khan, Farooq Jan Babar, was the guest speaker. He believed that internal accountability mechanism in the state institutions was not effective. “This is why a need was felt and additional accountability bodies formed to carry out the process,” he argued.

In late February, Hamdard had represented the Rooh Afza culture of Pakistan at the Gulfood international expo. Hailing from UAE, Gulfood Manufacturing is the region’s largest food and beverage processing industry event which connects businesses with suppliers from around 60 countries.

Hamdard routinely participates in well-renowned exhibitions to engage its wide audience and to build better customers relationships. Hamdard displayed and sold its brand on relatively discounted prices along with numerous gifts and promotional items for children and women. It also generously set up a complimentary consultation with a lady physician at their stall to facilitate people and support them to keep up with their health and get prescriptions if needed.

Moreover, Hamdard served Pakistan’s beloved chilled Rooh Afza ready-to-drink with water, Rooh Afza Slush and Rooh Afza with milk at the event.
