Spanish 4×4 manufacturer Santana has been revived with the backing of Chinese firm Zhengzhou Nissan<\/a>, a joint venture of Nissan and Dongfeng.<\/p>\n

Santana said it has worked with Zhengzhou\u00a0<\/span>Nissan<\/a> and Chinese firm\u00a0Anhui Coronet Tech\u00a0on an \u201centirely new vehicle\u201d that will offer a choice of diesel and plug-in hybrid powertrains.<\/p>\n

It will be built at the old Santana plant in Linares, Andalusia, and has been “designed for\u00a0off-road enthusiasts”, suggesting it will rival the\u00a0Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster<\/a>.<\/p>\n
