Joining the recently launched Audi A5 plug-in hybrid<\/a>, it is one of 10 new PHEVs\u00a0to be launched by the German brand across its line-up in 2025.<\/p>\n

The PHEV powertrain, which it shares with the A5<\/a>,\u00a0is centered around a 2.0-litre turbo petrol four and delivers 295bhp for a 0-62mph time of 6.0sec.<\/p>\n

It’s exclusively sold in the UK in four-wheel-drive Quattro guise.\u00a0Outside of the UK, a more potent 362bhp variant with 369lb ft of torque\u00a0<\/span>is also offered with a\u00a00-62mph time of 5.3sec.<\/p>\n

Electric power is drawn from a 25.9kWh (gross) battery,\u00a0up from the previous generation’s\u00a017.9kWh,\u00a0offering 66 miles of range in the Avant and 69 miles in the more slippery saloon.<\/p>\n

The pack can\u00a0be charged via a maximum AC current of 11kW or via regenerative braking, with levels selected via paddles behind the steering wheel.<\/p>\n

The new A6 Avant<\/a>\u00a0arrived in March and the new\u00a0A6 saloon<\/a> in April\u00a0with turbo petrol and turbo diesel hybrid power, joining the technically unrelated A6 E-tron<\/a>\u00a0EV duo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n
