Its brief is to create one- and few-off special editions with their own styling and mechanical make-ups and enable greater scope for customisation.<\/p>\n<p>GMSV will have three\u00a0product lines: SV Design will create limited-run special editions; Bespoke will handle unique customer-commissioned one-offs; and Heritage is for continuation-style reworkings of cars originally designed by company chairman Gordon Murray.<\/p>\n<h2>Le Mans GTR<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GMSV Le Mans GTR \u2013 front\" class=\"image-body-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalvillagespace.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/gordon-murray-unveils-ultra-rare-v12-masterpieces-inspired-by-le-mans-legends-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The GMSV Le Mans GTR is based on <a href=\"\/car-news\/features\/floored-surrey-gordon-murray-welcome-t50-factory\">GMA\u2019s T50 hypercar<\/a>, but aside from its powertrain, \u201calmost every other element of the car\u201d has been modified.<\/p>\n<p>So it keeps the T50\u2019s naturally aspirated 4.0-litre V12 and six-speed\u00a0manual gearbox but wraps the running gear in a completely bespoke bodyshell that\u2019s inspired by the legendary \u2018longtail\u2019 racers that dominated at Le Mans for decades \u2013 including such icons as the Matra-Simca MS660, Porsche 917, Alfa Romeo Tipo 33\/3 and Murray\u2019s own <a href=\"\/car-review\/mclaren\/f1-1992-1998\">McLaren F1<\/a> GTR.<\/p>\n<p>A defining characteristic of longtail racers, as the name suggests, is a dramatically extended rear deck that boosts downforce and aerodynamic efficiency \u2013 particularly important attributes on\u00a0on the high-speed Le Mans circuit,\u00a0where a slightly higher top speed could be the difference between winning and losing the 24-hour race.<\/p>\n<p>So inspired, GMSV\u2019s first production car has been designed with a rigid focus on minimising drag and maximising downforce. It features a long, low and streamlined silhouette adorned by prominent splitters, skirts and diffusers that \u201cgenerate maximum ground effect aerodynamics\u201d \u2013 plus a huge fixed rear wing. As a result, the GTR is able to forgo the ground-sucking fan that\u2019s fitted to the T50.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GMSV Le Mans GTR\u00a0\u2013 rear quarter\" class=\"image-body-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalvillagespace.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/gordon-murray-unveils-ultra-rare-v12-masterpieces-inspired-by-le-mans-legends-2.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Between the two channels of the substantial rear diffuser are the dual exits of a re-engineered exhaust system that has been designed to \u201cdeliver a deep and balanced V12 soundtrack\u201d. A new roofmounted air intake \u201cadds to the orchestral cabin experience as owners explore the full 12,100rpm rev range\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The GTR also receives a heavy chassis overhaul that bolsters its on-track potential with stiffer, lighter suspension components, a wider track, larger tyres and new solid engine mounts that, GMA says, boost\u00a0dynamics while avoiding the noise and vibration that usually come with such an arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>The interior is more trackfocused than the T50\u2019s, but GMA emphasises that \u201cinterior quality is retained\u201d. The dashboard, clocks, controls, pedals and seat cushions have all been redesigned and customers are able to fully personalise the colour scheme and materials to their tastes.<\/p>\n<p>Development of the GTR is already under way ahead of the first cars being delivered next year. Prices haven\u2019t been disclosed but are likely to be higher than the \u00a33.1m T50S Niki Lauda track car \u2013 and all 24 examples have already been sold, through supercar dealer Joe Macari.<\/p>\n<h2>S1 LM<\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"GMSV S1 LM \u2013 front quarter\" class=\"image-body-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.globalvillagespace.com\/tech\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/gordon-murray-unveils-ultra-rare-v12-masterpieces-inspired-by-le-mans-legends-3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>GMSV\u2019s second creation \u2013 from the Bespoke line \u2013 is designed as a tribute to the Murray-designed McLaren F1 GTR LM that won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1995\u00a0Called the S1 LM, it apes\u00a0several defi ning design elements of the racer that JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya piloted to victory 30 years ago. These include a central aerofoil, a roof-mounted air intake, split-level rear wing and circular rear light lenses that flank a bespoke quad-pipe exhaust exit.<\/p>\n<p>GMA says it has been designed for \u201ctrack agility over comfort and cruising\u201d, gaining a substantial chassis overhaul to go with its beefy aero kit, but it remains road legal.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the S1 LM also has a bespoke engine \u2013 still a Cosworth atmo V12, like the T50 and Le Mans GTR, but boosted from 4.0 to 4.3 litres and with a target output of more than 690bhp.
