Three local releases to light up the silver screen this weekend

News Desk |

Three local releases are set to clash on Pakistan’s box office on Friday, February 2nd, 2018. The local releases include highly anticipated animated movie ‘Allahyar And The Legend of Markhor’, horror movie ‘Pari’ and rom-com ‘Maan Jao Na’.

Allahyar is the story of a boy who “has ideas and ambitions that get challenged when he’s thrown into an adventure where he discovers a world he never knew existed” says the director of the movie, Uzair Zaheer Khan.

The movie stars Ali Noor, Natasha Humera Ejaz, Azfar Jafri and Anum Zaidi. The movie also spreads the message of wildlife conservation.

On the other hand, Pari is a horror movie that speaks of supernatural activities. The director of the movie, Syed Atif Ali said, “I like films which stay with you long after leaving the cinema. I believe Pari is one of those films, which will stay with you after long you’ve watched it.”

Maan Jao Na is another romantic-comedy that is set to release at the beginning of this year after ‘Parchi’ that was released last month on January 5th, 2018.

‘Maan Jao Na’ features Iranian model Naaz Norouzi as she makes her Lollywood debut. She is already a popular model based in India and has done commercials with A-list Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan.

Movies from three different genres are ready to be displayed in cinemas this week.

Despite, perceptibly different from each other they still stand a chance of tough competition with each other.

It is to be seen whether the children-oriented movie ‘Allahyar and the legend of Markhor’ will attract more cinemagoers or will people be more intrigued to watch the rescue of ‘Pari’? Also, will the new face of Naaz Nourouzi convince movie-lovers to watch ‘Maan Jao Na’?
