Two of the World’s coolest men have dinner together

Justin Trudeau, Canadian Prime Minister tweeted thanks to the former US President Barack Obama after they shared a private dinner at a Montreal restaurant, the hometown of Justin Trudeau, where he represents the district of Papineau. The restaurant is said to be a favorite of Mr Trudeau’s.

Trudeau posted a picture of the pair sitting and talking in a relaxed fashion in a small eatery, Liverpool House, with the caption “How do we get young leaders to take action in their communities? Thanks Barack Obama for your visit & insights tonight in my hometown.”

Outside a crowd cheered the two leaders when they left. They ended the evening on a long hug. Mr Trudeau, once called Mr Obama his “sibling.”

Last year, Obama hosted Trudeau for a state dinner at the White House, the first for Canada since 1997.

Obama spoke to the Montreal Board of Trade Tuesday, during his speech, Mr Obama commended the Paris climate agreement and decried what he called the lack of American leadership on climate change, a swipe at new President Donald Trump’s administration.”In Paris, we came together around the most ambitious agreement in history to fight climate change,” he said. “An agreement that even with the temporary absence of American leadership will still give our children a fighting chance.”

The event was reportedly sold out, with reports of tickets being resold online for hundreds of dollars.
