Social Media Reacts as Rawalpindi Police Identify Women Behind Egg Attack on Aleema Khan

A protest by members of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance took an unexpected turn when Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, was targeted with eggs after she allegedly refused to respond to their questions.

According to a spokesperson for the Rawalpindi Police, the women involved in the incident belonged to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and had traveled from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to join the demonstration. The protestors, who were raising their concerns under the banner of the Grand Alliance, confronted Aleema Khan during the rally. Tensions escalated when she reportedly avoided addressing their grievances, prompting the women to hurl eggs at her.

Police sources confirmed that the women were identified and their political affiliation established. Authorities described the act as “extremely condemnable” and stated that investigations were underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Observers criticized the egg attack as a “damn vile act” that crossed the limits of political disagreement. Civil society members and political analysts have urged all parties to exercise restraint and engage in constructive dialogue instead of resorting to disrespectful tactics.

The All Government Employees Grand Alliance has been staging demonstrations across the country, demanding better pay scales, pension reforms, and improved service structures. While the group maintains that their struggle is peaceful, incidents such as this have raised questions about discipline within protest camps.
