Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed dominated the Google Trends in Pakistan in the past few days, following the Pakistan Air Force’s successful onslaught against the Indian Air Force on the night of 6th-7th May and later on in counter-strikes in India on 10th May, 2025.
Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed represented the Pakistan Air Force in the first joint presser hosted by DG ISPR, AVM Aurangzeb Ahmed, and Admiral Rab Nawaz from Pakistan Navy.
Search interest in “Aurangzeb” surged sharply in Pakistan on May 12, 2025, with Google Trends data showing a peak value of 100 at 2:00 AM—the highest point recorded during the past week.
Aurangzeb Ahmed, who serves as the official spokesperson for the PAF, has gained popularity among the Pakistani public, particularly the youth, for his composed demeanour and subtle humour during press briefings.
Social media users claimed that they are anxiously waiting to hear back following the successful conclusion of the Pakistan Buyan-um-Marsoos operation in retaliation for Indian strikes in Pakistan.

He can be heard in one of his viral clips from the second joint presser, In a widely circulated clip, the Air Vice Marshal said, “I will pick up from where I left, day before yesterday, PAF vs IAF, 6-nil,” referring to Pakistan’s reported downing of five Indian aircraft during the escalation. The tally reportedly included three Rafale jets, a Su-30, a MiG-29, and a combat drone.
Besides him, Indian fighter pilot Shivangi Joshi also appeared in Google search trends. Shivangi is a female Indian fighter pilot who is inducted to fly Rafale jets. According to speculations, she has been in the custody of Pakistan. However, DG ISPR had denied any Indian fighter pilot in the custody of Pakistan. The Indian Government has not given clear statement regarding her whereabouts.
