In the latest crackdown, the government added 16 more channels to the list of banned Youtube channels, taking the number of Youtube channels banned in a month to 48.

Separately, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority also rubbished reports of diesel shortage in the country. The oil regulating agency added that it was "monitoring the situation with the help of law enforcement agencies."

Another young girl, Nimra Kazmi, has also gone missing in Karachi. In a recorded statement, the mother of the girl stated that her daughter had not made it home since she left on April 20 and expressed her suspicion that her daughter had been abducted.

Hearing an intra-court appeal, Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday ordered a halt to further proceedings and suspended its earlier order to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to decide the foreign funding case against Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf within 30 days.
