Suleman Khan and Qasim Khan, sons of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, were accused earlier this week of consuming pork at the Capitol Hill Club during their visit to the U.S.
Some social media accounts also shared a purported document titled Catering Guidelines from the Capitol Health Lab in Washington, D.C., claiming that the club does not serve halal or kosher food.
On July 25th, the former account of FMLN Digital shared a post with an image of the two siblings at the Capitol Hill Club, a private clubhouse in Washington, D.C., with Republican Congressman Joe Wilson. The post was captioned. The post also shared an alleged document claiming to show the club’s catering guidelines.
The caption of his post said: “The biggest proof has arrived. Imran’s sons ate at the Capitol Hill Club. This is the club’s menu card, it details the food and also states that halal and kosher are not served in the club. So the meat was pork, the youth are indulging in forbidden food and lying.”
The last paragraph of the document reads that it does not offer halal or kosher food, whereas the digital account of PMLN is followed by PMLN’s official ex-account. Several similar posts also appeared from other accounts that accused the sons of Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister, of consuming Phog, which is considered an illegal food and illegal substance in the Islamic religion.
Several pro-FMLN accounts also shared the same post. Pro-military accounts also circulated the claim. A social media influencer also shared the alleged document. Additionally, it was also shared on Facebook. However, the latest fact-check was initiated to determine the authenticity of the claim due to its high virality, and it was revealed that the document circulating on the internet is a fake image.
The fake image was detected using AI detection tools such as Fake Image Detector, and it showed that it’s a computer-generated or modified image. When checked on the official website of the Capitol Hill Club, none of its many documents from breakfast to lunch to dinner inception contained the paragraph about not offering halal or kosher food in the catering guidelines or anywhere else.

Its opening paragraph said: “The Capitol Hill Club Catering Department offers. Members the opporennity to host meetings or banquets ranging to intimate atrangements to parties or receptions up to up 300 guests. We a pleasure to assist you in planning any”
Moreover, the logo of the club shared on both documents was different from that on the document on the website.
The opening paragraph on the website’s menu said that the Capital Health Lab catering department offered members the opportunity to host meetings on banquets ranging from intimate gatherings to parties or receptions for up to 300 guests.
