The Army Chief is on his second visit to the USA in less than two months to meet with the top American military officials. This improves the ties between the two countries. Pakistan has been praising US President Donald Trump for brokering a ceasefire with India after a brief escalation in May.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has refused to acknowledge the US role in the ceasefire, on the other hand. Due to the improved relations, Pakistan has been facing the lowest tariff among its South Asian peers from the USA, whereas India is being slapped with 50% tariffs by US President Donald Trump for continuing to buy Russian oil.
