Diplomacy would be given another chance in the coming two weeks to end the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. CBC News has quoted two diplomats, one from America and one from Europe, claiming that there has been a deliberate pause where President Trump will decide if America has to enter the war against Iran or not.
Diplomatic channels will be used to bring Iran back to the table of negotiations regarding its nuclear program in the next two weeks.
The developments in the next few weeks will determine if the U.S. will join the war against Iran or not, a time window set by President Donald Trump.
Concerning these developments, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi met with European Foreign Ministers in Geneva as both Iran and Israel continue to hit each other with missiles and drones.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, and the top European Union diplomat, Kaja Kallas, attended the Geneva meeting with Aragchi. Lammy had met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff at the White House on Thursday.
The meeting between the Iranian foreign minister and the foreign ministers of the European Union lasted for four hours, more than it was scheduled.
Following the meeting, the UK foreign minister said that it is certain that Iran cannot have nuclear weapons.

Barrot indicated there would be further talks and told reporters “the problem of Iran’s nuclear program cannot be solved by military means alone. Lammy said, “We were clear: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
“Iran is ready to consider diplomacy once again,” he said, adding, “I stress that Iran’s defense capabilities are not negotiable. (But) I express our readiness to meet again in the near future,” said Iran’s Foreign Minister.
However, the final decision rests with Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. It is unclear if the continuing strikes from Israel and impending threats of US joining the war would move him.
