Epstein Files Reveal Shipment of Sacred Kaaba Cloth to His US Home

Emails show rare Kiswah pieces were sent from Saudi Arabia to Jeffrey Epstein in 2017 through UAE-linked contacts and classified as “artwork.”

Recently released documents linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case include email exchanges detailing a controversial shipment of pieces of the Kiswah—the sacred black-and-gold embroidered cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca—to the United States.

According to the documents, the shipment was arranged in February and March 2017 through contacts linked to the United Arab Emirates and was ultimately delivered to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted pedophile. The emails show an Emirati businesswoman, Aziza Al-Ahmadi, coordinating with a man identified as Abdullah Al-Mahri to organize the transfer of three pieces of the Kiswah.

The released document shows the emails was exchanged during February and March 2017 and shows an Emirati businesswoman, Aziza Al-Ahmadi, working with a man named Abdullah Al-Mahri to organize the shipment of the three pieces of the Kiswah, the black gold embroidered cloth that covers the Kaaba, the religious site of the Muslims and the center of the Islam’s holiest site in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

Emails in the file shows the items shipped by air freight from Saudi Arabia to Florida through British Airways. There were coordinations that included invoices, customs arrangement, and delivery inside the United States. The messages described three separate pieces, one from inside the Kaaba, one from the outer covering, and the third made from the same material but was not used.

The correspondence in the emailed explained this shipment as ‘artwork’. The documents also showed that the shipment arrived at the Epstein’s home in March 2017. In one email, Al-Ahmadi underscored the cloth’s religious significance while addressing Epstein directly.

“The black piece was touched by minimum 10 million Muslims of different denominations, Sunni, Shia and others. They walk around the Kaaba seven rounds then every one tries as much as they can to touch it and they kept their prayers, wishes, tears and hopes on this piece. Hoping after that all their prayers to be accepted,” she added.

The correspondence, however, do not explain how Al-Ahmadi came to know Epstein or why the pieces were sent to him.

In another set of emails released, shows Al-Ahmadi is checking on Epstein after Hurricane Irma hit the Caribbean in September 2017, where the private island of Jeffrey Epstein suffered heavy damage. Al-Ahmadi was seen repeatedly contacting Epstein’s secretary to ask about his well-being. However, the emails do not clearly mention if Al-Ahmadi ever visited Epstein’s island or list the full scope of what took place there.

Epstein, however, rarely directly talked to Al-Ahmadi. In one email, she asked Groff if she can meet Epstein at his residence. Separately, an FBI memo released on Friday evening said that Epstein worked with U.S. and Israeli intelligence.
