Imad Wasim’s former wife, Sania Ashfaq, has alleged that the all-rounder compelled her to terminate a pregnancy in 2023.
In social media posts shared after news of Wasim’s second marriage, Ashfaq claimed the abortion took place in Lahore in December 2023 and said she possesses video evidence to support her allegations. She also accused him of infidelity and said their marriage ended under “deeply distressing circumstances.” Ashfaq urged fans to boycott Islamabad United for including Wasim in its squad, questioning his loyalty.

Meanwhile, videos circulating online showed Wasim marrying social media influencer Nyla Raja in a private ceremony, later confirmed by the cricketer. In a statement, Wasim described his previous marriage as a difficult period but said it brought him the greatest blessings of his life—his children. He acknowledged making decisions he regrets and accepted responsibility for circumstances that led to public criticism of another individual.

Raja also shared messages online describing her marriage to Wasim as the best decision of her life and praised his support during challenging times. Addressing public scrutiny, she said only those directly involved understand the pain behind the situation and criticized media coverage she felt targeted her personal life.
Wasim had earlier announced his divorce, citing long-standing unresolved issues, and warned against what he described as misleading narratives, indicating potential legal action over defamatory claims.
