Fatima Bhutto welcomed her second son earlier this week. She named her second, Caspian, Mustafa. Bhutto announced the birth of her second son on her social media accounts.
“Graham and I are so grateful to God and delighted to welcome our son Caspian Mustafa into the world. He joins his older brother, Mir Murtaza, and I so wish their grandfather were here. He would have been so adored by his grandsons, and I miss him deeply. To be a parent is to be at the mercy of wonder. The miracle of life can only be marvelled at, and I am indebted to the doctors and midwives, and nurses who saw us through.”
“At the same time, it is impossible to forget those healthcare workers targeted for just this lifesaving care that only they can provide, and the many, many thousands of mothers who have had to give birth without medical care and surrounded by fear. I pray for them the same way I pray for my boys,” said Fatima Bhutto in a tweet posted on her X account.
Fatima Bhutto tied the knot in 2023, and since then, she has kept her personal life private. In 2024, she welcomed her first son.

She named her son after her father, Mir Murtaza Byra. “Graham and I are so happy to share the news of the birth of our baby boy,” said Fatima Bhutto in a tweet.
In the same twee, she explained the reason behind naming her son after her father. “We wanted to give our son a name that would bestow him with courage and kindness as he makes his way through the world. I wanted a name that would act as an inspiration to him in his life but also one that would cloak him in love and strength, a name that he could wear with the knowledge that it was given to him from deep within his mother’s heart and soul to protect him throughout his life, to give him in equal measure both grace and fearlessness, a sense of his homeland and joy,” she wrote.
