Shaheen Shah Afridi shared the list with present-day football greats. Afridi was featured alongside football giants Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr, and Luka Modrić. Who are all famously associated with the iconic number 10 jersey?

The post is simply captioned: “The iconic” and celebrates the global legends who have donned the number.

The post on the FIFA Instagram page appeared following Lahore Qalandar’s latest win in the Pakistan Super League 10 edition. Lahore Qalandars have lifted the PSL trophy thrice under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Lahore Qalandars clinched their third PSL title with a thrilling six-wicket win over Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 10 final, held at a packed Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday night.

Chasing a formidable target of 202, Qalandars completed the run chase with just one ball to spare, thanks to a stunning unbeaten knock of 62 off 31 balls by Kusal Perera and a fiery 46 off 27 from rising star Mohammad Naeem. The victory was a testament to Lahore’s collective batting brilliance and marked one of the most exhilarating chases in the tournament’s history.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Quetta Gladiators posted an imposing 201 for 9 in their 20 overs. The innings began shakily, with skipper Saud Shakeel falling early for just 4, followed by Finn Allen’s dismissal for 12. However, Hasan Nawaz turned the momentum with a blistering 76 off 43 balls, smashing 8 fours and 4 sixes. He was supported by Avishka Fernando (29 off 22) and Dinesh Chandimal (22 off 13), while Faheem Ashraf provided a late onslaught with a rapid 28 off just 8 balls, including two fours and three sixes.

Lahore’s bowling attack, led by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, played a crucial role in keeping Quetta in check. Afridi delivered a superb spell, taking 3 wickets for 24 runs. Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf took two wickets each but were slightly expensive, while Sikandar Raza and Rishad Hossain claimed a wicket a piece.
