What began as a routine pilgrimage turned into an extraordinary journey of faith and determination for a Libyan man whose resolve to perform Hajj defied unexpected obstacles.
A miraculous story of a Hujjaj from Libya:
A young Libyan man named Amer was traveling for Hajj when he encountered security problem regarding his name during the airport procedures. Security told him, We will try to solve it for you, but you have to wait with us a little while. pic.twitter.com/oCud75gWKU

Amer Al Mahdi Mansour Al Gaddafi, a young pilgrim from Libya, had long dreamed of fulfilling the sacred duty of Hajj — a spiritual milestone every Muslim aspires to achieve at least once in their lifetime.

But his journey hit a snag at the airport, where he was detained at immigration due to a security alert triggered by his surname, Al Gaddafi — a remnant of Libya’s past political turmoil still flagged in some systems more than a decade later.
As his group boarded the flight to Mecca, Amer remained stranded at the counter. Despite his appeals, the flight captain decided to proceed without him, citing security concerns and a tight schedule. But Amer stood firm. “I will not leave this place unless it’s for Hajj,” he declared.
What followed was nothing short of astonishing. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft developed a technical issue and had to return. After a brief delay and repairs, it attempted to depart once more — only to suffer another malfunction, forcing a second emergency landing. According to witnesses, it was after this second incident that the captain addressed passengers, reportedly saying: “I swear I won’t fly again unless Amer is with us on this plane.”

Authorities swiftly reviewed Amer’s case and granted him clearance. On the third attempt — this time with Amer on board — the flight departed smoothly, reaching its destination without further issues.
The story quickly captured attention on social media, with many viewing it as a powerful sign of divine intervention. Speaking to local media, Amer reflected, “All I wanted was to go to Hajj. And I believed that if it was meant for me, nothing in this world could stop it.”
