Hania Amir gets emotional over overwhelming love from Indian fans

Pakistani actress Hania Amir received a wave of love from Indian fans who began using VPNs to access her content after her Instagram was blocked in India.

Pakistani actress Hania Amir expresses love after receiving overwhelming love from her Indian fans after her social media accounts got blocked in India.

Hania Amir has a substantial fan following in India. Instagram accounts of several Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Amir, have been blocked in India in the aftermath of the Pahalgam attack on IIOJK.

Now her Indian fans are using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access her account in India. The actor is receiving messages of love from her fans on her Instagram. The actress shared the screenshots of this conversation on her Instagram.

One fan commented on her post, “Hello Hania, VPN ka subscription liya hai sirf aapke liye (I have subscribed to VPN just for you). Love from India.” Hania replied, “Love you,” to this comment. In another comment, after a fan asked her not to worry as Indians are using VPN, an emotional Hania replied, “Ro doongi (I will cry).”

One user noted that the actress has such a devoted fan base in India that they purchase VPNs just to see her account.

Several prominent Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar, and Sanam Saeed, have had their Instagram accounts blocked in India, highlighting the deepening diplomatic tensions between the two nations.

Indian users attempting to access these profiles are now met with a message stating: “Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content.” Other actors impacted by the restriction include Bilal Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Imran Abbas, and Sajal Aly. However, accounts belonging to Fawad Khan and Wahaj Ali remain accessible in India for now.

These restrictions come in the wake of heightened digital crackdowns by Indian authorities following the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), which resulted in the deaths of 26 people. India has accused Pakistan of supporting the militants involved in the attack—a claim Pakistan has vehemently denied.
