I Don’t Want to Come Back’: Cardi B Says She Loves Life in Saudi Arabia

Cardi B told fans she is loving her time in Saudi Arabia, praising the country’s hospitality, shopping and overall experience. She shared her thoughts during an Instagram Live ahead of her performance at the Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh.

Cardi B has told fans she is considering a permanent move to Saudi Arabia after being impressed by her experience in the country.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session, the rapper shared candid observations about life in Saudi Arabia, describing the country as strict but orderly. “I’m in Saudi Arabia and, so far, let me tell y’all about my experience. It’s very strict — they will put you under the jail,” she said. “They are not playing around. You will go to prison if you break the rules. But at the same time, it’s very easy to follow the rules here.”

She also praised how she has been treated by people in the country. “The people over here are hip,” Cardi said. “They’re very polite, and they don’t look at you like you’re poor.”

After raving about the shopping scene and food — particularly the burgers — Cardi admitted she was reluctant to return to the United States. “I’m starting not to like America,” she said. “America makes me pay taxes. The Vice President is talking about me on Twitter. I don’t feel very appreciated in America. Y’all need to convince me to come back.”

Cardi B is currently in Saudi Arabia ahead of her performance at the Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh this weekend. In another Instagram Live session on Wednesday, she joked about making sure she follows the rules while in the country.

“I like everything duty-free, tax-free, discount-free,” she said, referring to shopping in Saudi Arabia. “I like gifts. I like shopping. I like everything.”

She also jokingly listed the things she claims to avoid. “I don’t like cigarettes. I don’t like weed. I don’t like hookah. I don’t like nothing,” she laughed. “I don’t like any of that stuff.”
