Imad Wasim and Nyla Raja Face Social Media Backlash After Second Wedding Announcement

Imad Wasim has married social media influencer Nyla Raja months after his separation from Sannia Ashfaq, sparking intense backlash online. The couple is facing widespread criticism on social media as past allegations linked to his former marriage continue to resurface and divide public opinion.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has married his partner Nyla Raja, months after confirming his separation from his former wife Sannia Ashfaq, a development that has sparked widespread debate on social media.

In a public statement, the cricketer described the period following his first marriage as “one of the hardest chapters” of his life. He acknowledged personal regrets and said his prolonged silence contributed to misunderstandings that led to unfair criticism of others. Emphasising his commitment to his children, he added that their wellbeing remains his priority. Wasim also stated that, with his family’s support, he had moved forward and married Nyla.

Speculation about Wasim and Nyla first emerged in July 2025 when the pair were reportedly seen together in London, fuelling allegations of infidelity. Soon after, Wasim confirmed his separation, citing personal reasons. However, Ashfaq alleged that a “third party” played a role in the breakdown of the marriage and claimed to possess evidence supporting her accusations.

Following news of the second marriage, Ashfaq shared an emotional message on social media, alleging mistreatment during their six-year relationship and accusing Wasim of infidelity. She also criticised Islamabad United, calling for accountability while sharing footage from the wedding celebrations.

Wasim had earlier announced in December 2025 that he had filed for divorce due to long-standing unresolved conflicts, urging the public to respect the privacy of both families and avoid speculation.

The couple originally married in Islamabad in August 2019 and share three children: daughter Inaya, son Rayan, and their youngest son Zayan, born in July 2025. The latest developments have continued to draw strong reactions online, with public opinion sharply divided.
