Imad Wasim Confirms Divorce as Wife Alleges ‘Third Party’ Involvement, Social Media Reacts

Former Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim announced his divorce after six years of marriage, citing unresolved conflicts and urging the public to respect his family’s privacy while warning against rumours. His wife, Sannia Ashfaq, later alleged that a “third party” contributed to the breakup, saying the involvement of another person shattered their already struggling marriage.

Retired Pakistan cricketer Imad Wasim and his wife, Sannia Ashfaq, have publicly confirmed the end of their six-year marriage, with both issuing detailed statements addressing the split and the circumstances surrounding it.

Imad, 37, formally announced that he had filed for divorce, citing long-standing differences that he said could not be resolved despite years of effort. Sharing a statement on Instagram, he said the decision followed “repeated conflicts” and appealed to the public and media to avoid speculation, refrain from circulating old photographs and respect the family’s privacy.

He also warned that any defamatory claims or attempts to involve others in the matter could face legal action, while stressing that he remains committed to fulfilling his responsibilities as a father.

Days later, Sannia Ashfaq issued an emotional response, alleging that a “third party” played a role in the breakdown of the marriage. Writing that she was speaking “from a place of deep pain,” she said her home had been “broken” and claimed her children had been left without their father, including a five-month-old baby who, she said, had yet to be held by him. Sannia stated that although the couple had faced challenges like many marriages, she remained committed to preserving the relationship, insisting that the involvement of another person ultimately dealt the final blow to an already strained union.

She added that she had tried to keep her family together but felt compelled to speak after remaining silent. The couple married in 2019 and share three children.

As both statements continue to generate intense public interest, Imad urged people to avoid believing rumours, while Sannia called attention to the emotional toll of the split. The situation has sparked widespread discussion online, with many urging respect for the family’s privacy during what remains a deeply personal dispute.
