The Spokesperson of Pakistan Army, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Choudhury, on Monday expressed anticipation that India might try to attack Pakistan through a false flag operation in the maritime domain.
He made these statements during a media briefing with the journalists on Monday, November 3rd. The Indian Defence Ministry has already stated that it is beginning the threshold military exercises in early November. The tri-military services will include the Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force.
Speaking about Indian aggression, DG ISPR said, “Let India do whatever it wants — on land, in the sea, or in the air. India must know — this time, the response will be far more severe.”
During the military briefing, DG ISPR stated that the Pakistan Army is conducting intelligence-based operations against the terrorists in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, claiming that more than 1,667 terrorists have been killed in these operations.
Adding that the Pakistan Army has conducted as many as 62,113 operations throughout this year, and more than 582 soldiers have embraced martyrdom in these operations.
Speaking on the ongoing negotiations and the tensions with Afghanistan, Lt. Gen. Chaudhary said that conditions set by Afghanistan have no significance for Pakistan, as only the elimination of terrorism matters to the country.

Pakistan and Afghanistan recently agreed to a ceasefire last week during peace talks in Istanbul following a week-long border clash.
“In Istanbul, the Afghan Taliban were clearly told that they need to control terrorism,” Lt Gen Chaudhry stated. “How they do it is their job. We conducted a counter-terrorism operation, and the terrorists fled to Afghanistan. Hand them over, we’ll deal with them according to the Constitution and the law.
“There will be no talks with terrorists, and Pakistan gave the Afghan Taliban a befitting response, which yielded the results we wanted.”
“The TTP has pledged allegiance in the name of the emir of the Afghan Taliban,” Lt Gen Chaudhry stated.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhary also highlighted the relationship between the criminals and the terrorist organizations. He noted that through opium cultivation, terrorists are earning around Rs. 1.8 and 2.5 million per acre.
Adding that these dealers collect money from people in the name of Islamic tithe, Lt. Gen. Chaudhary revealed that opium and other drugs are being smuggled from Afghanistan into Pakistan.
“If you have awakened love for Afghanistan, then you should go live there,” DG ISPR said.
