On Thursday, Sept. 18, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 61, shared a series of photos of Bella in the hospital on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message about her daughter’s ongoing battle.

“As you can imagine, watching Bella suffer in silence has been the deepest source of hopelessness for me,” Yolanda wrote. “Chronic neurological Lyme disease is an invisible disability that’s difficult to explain or understand. I try to lead by example on our journey with Lyme, but my own pain is nothing compared to watching my child endure it.”
Yolanda, who was diagnosed with the illness in 2012, explained that in recent years she’s chosen to stay quiet about her own experience to focus on healing. Describing herself as the “CEO of my health,” she added that she remains committed to helping find a cure that’s accessible to all.

She went on to praise Bella, 28, for her strength during what she called an “unknown hell.” “To my beautiful Bellita: You are relentless and courageous. No child should have to suffer from an incurable chronic illness,” Yolanda wrote. “I admire your bravery, your persistence, and your determination to keep fighting despite failed treatments and countless setbacks. There aren’t words big enough to describe the darkness, pain, and uncertainty you’ve endured since your diagnosis in 2013. You didn’t get to live freely—you learned how to exist inside the prison of your own paralyzed mind.”

“I am so proud of the fighter you are,” she continued. “You are never alone—I will stand by you every step of the way, no matter how long it takes. You’ve gotten through another month of treatment, and I believe that miracles happen every day. I pray for your speedy recovery, my love. This disease may bring us to our knees, but we always rise again. You are a survivor, my badass warrior. I love you so much.”
Yolanda’s message came just a day after Bella herself shared photos from a hospital bed on Instagram, apologizing for her absence from the public eye.
“I’m sorry I always go MIA. I love you guys,” Bella captioned the post, which showed her resting with IV bags by her side.
Yolanda replied with a supportive “❤️Lyme warrior,” while Bella’s sister Gigi Hadid added, “I love you! I hope you feel as strong and good as you deserve, soon!!!!!!”
