Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s son, Junaid Safdar, was reportedly issued a traffic challan in Johar Town, Lahore, for violating traffic regulations, according to traffic police sources.
The violation pertained to the use of tinted windows on his vehicle, which are prohibited under Punjab’s traffic laws. Authorities confirmed that the challan was issued during a routine inspection.

“No one is above the law. The challan was issued as per standard procedure,” a traffic police official told the media.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised the Dolphin Police for issuing the challan to both her son and the accompanying security vehicle, commending their commitment to enforcing the law.

“You have upheld the rule of law. I appreciate the Dolphin Police team for ensuring compliance,” she said, emphasizing that the rule of law is a cornerstone of her administration. She also reiterated the importance of equal application of the law across the province.
