The video showed a jet on fire and falling in a tailspin out of the sky. The media reports suggest that the jet came down within ten kilometers of the US Ali Al-Saleem base in Kuwait. The crashes come amid the ongoing heavy bombardment on Gulf nations by Iran in retaliation to the attacks conducted attack launched by US and Israel on Tehran last week.

Kuwait is under heavy airstrikes from Iran along with other Gulf countries.

Unverified reports suggest that the US embassy in Kuwait has also been struck. The US military has a significant number of military assets in the Gulf region and has also increased the deployment of its military assets in the last week. A list put out by the CENTCOM on Sunday showed the assets employed thus far included F-18s, F-16s, F-22s, F-35s, A-10 attack aircraft, MQ-9 Reaper drones, refueling aircraft, counter-drone systems, Navy aircraft carriers, and guided missile destroyers.

US claims and CENTCOM claims that more than a thousand targets have been struck and that the military is focusing only on military targets like command and control centers, Iranian navy ships and submarines, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters, and more.
