The film, titled Melania, is directed by disgraced filmmaker Brett Ratner and has been licensed by Amazon in a deal reportedly valued at $40 million. Marketed as an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait, the documentary chronicles the period leading up to President Donald Trump’s second inauguration and offers rare access to the former model-turned-first lady as she navigates her return to the White House.

It opens inside the Capitol Rotunda during the swearing-in ceremony, with the first lady dressed in her now widely discussed oversized, wide-brimmed hat. As the camera slowly circles her and a tense, cinematic soundtrack swells, she looks directly into the lens and says: “Here we go again.”
The trailer then shifts rapidly between scenes at the White House, Mar-a-Lago, and Trump Tower in New York City, presenting a polished montage of private moments and public appearances. Viewers catch glimpses of President Trump preparing for a speech, declaring: “My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker.” Melania interjects calmly but firmly: “Peacemaker and unifier,” reinforcing the film’s central narrative.
In one of the final moments, Melania is shown speaking to her husband on the phone. “Hi, Mr. President. Congratulations,” she says.
