PAF had locked 20 Indian jets but downed only 6: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reveals PAF locked 20 Indian jets, downed 6 to show restraint and commitment to peace.

Pakistan’s former foreign minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari revealed that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) had locked 20 Indian Air Force jets on the night of May 6th and 7th.

However, Pakistan’s air force only downed six Indian jets as a show of restraint. He said by showing the strain, Pakistan said that Pakistan advocates peace and doesn’t want war.

“We did shoot down six planes, even the shooting down of those six planes was Pakistan showing restraint. Pakistan had 20 Indian planes locked that night, but only six planes had released their load,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

He also talked about how Pakistan informed the truth to its nation and to the international community. It took India a month to admit the losses.

“Pakistani military demonstrated immense restraint when they only targeted those six planes, but I think it’s very telling that it took India a whole month to admit that it lost those six planes,” said Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
“I think that it goes to show that one country is telling the truth to its people, the truth to the international community, and the truth to the media. Another country is hiding the truth from its people, from the international community, and the media, then it should be obvious to all who’s on the right side of history and who’s on the wrong side of
Bilawal Zardari was addressing a press conference at the UN headquarters in New York.

The address came amid the visit of a high-level team — consisting of three former foreign ministers, two former foreign sec­­retaries, two former ambassadors to the US, and a serving federal minister — for consultations at the United Nations. The team arrived in New York on Sunday.

Ex-FMs Bilawal, Hina Rabbani Khar and Khurram Dastgir; Senators Sherry Rehman, Musadik Malik, Faisal Sabzwari and Bushra Anjum Butt; and Jalil Abbas Jilani and Teh­mina Janjua are members of the delegation.
