According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the PAF’s operational readiness and capabilities. He interacted with frontline pilots, engineers, and technical personnel, applauding their professionalism, precision, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s defence.

Their swift and measured actions not only neutralised threats but also delivered a decisive blow to enemy infrastructure, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast resolve to defend its sovereignty.”

He further noted the confirmed downing of a sixth Indian aircraft—a Mirage-2000—on the night of May 6–7 near Pampore, east of Srinagar, as further evidence of the PAF’s combat proficiency and unshakable resolve.

The Prime Minister also praised the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu for his transformative role in modernising the PAF and integrating advanced technologies to enhance the force’s operational edge.
