According to the lawyers involved, Butt’s alleged remarks in a vlog following his previous court appearance sparked the attack. They claimed the YouTuber had “insulted” legal professionals, stating in his video that the complainant “does not seem like a lawyer.” Butt is currently nominated in a case registered at Hyderi Police Station by Advocate Riaz Ali Solangi, accusing him of making controversial and derogatory remarks.
Confirming the incident, Butt’s counsel Mian Ali Ashfaq strongly condemned the assault, stating that his client was beaten and injured inside a place meant to uphold justice. “This is an unfortunate act that has no place in any educated society,” he said in a post on X.
During the hearing, the court extended Butt’s interim bail until January 13, 2026 and adjourned further proceedings on his bail plea to the same date. In addition to the controversial speech case, Butt is also facing another case involving allegations of promoting gambling and betting applications.

Earlier this month, Butt and Naniwaala secured transit bail from the Islamabad High Court after returning from the United Kingdom, where Butt was deported following the revocation of his visa. They later obtained interim bail from a sessions court in Lahore on December 15. The incident has drawn criticism and raised questions over security and conduct within court premises.
