Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka: IAF Anniversary Menu Mocks Pakistani Strike Locations

A picture of the menu from the 93rd anniversary dinner of the India Air Force (IAF) on October 8th has gone viral on social media for mocking Pakistani cities/locations it targeted during military operations in 2019 and during the recent Operation Sindoor in May 2025.

The menu titled, “93 Years of IAF, infallible, impervious, and precise,” mentions the menu’s dishes after Pakistani locations. The viral image shows an array of dishes named Rawalpindi Chicken Tikka Masala, Rafiki Rhada Mutton, Bhulari Paneer Meethi Malai, Sukkur Savera Kofta, Sargodha Dal Makhani, Jacobbabad Mewa Pulao, and Bhawalpur Naan.

The image is going viral on Indian social media. India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7th following a terrorist attack in IIOK. India hit nine major locations in Pakistan’s Punjab and Pakistan’s administered Azad Kashmir, including Muridke and Bhawalpur. The precision strikes hit locations across Muzaffarabad, Kodli, Bhimbi, Rawalpur, and Neelam Valley, among others.

Meanwhile, the Balakot strike was carried out on February 26, 2019, in response to the Pulwama terror attack that killed 40 CRPF personnel. The dessert section also had similar bizarre names such as Balakot Tiramisu, Muzaffarabad Kulfi Falooda, and Mureedke Meetha Paan. The image is going viral on Indian social media with Indian users mocking Pakistan during their military operations.

According to Indian media, during the preparations ahead of IAF Day on Monday, two aircraft, a Lockheed Martin C-130J and Antonov An-32, were spotted in the skies over Agra with call signs Rafiki and Shahbaz. Again, these call signs were also seen as mocking Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in India on India’s strike on the Rafiki Air Base in Pakistan during Operation Sundur.

Named after the 1965 war hero of Pakistan, Squadron Leader Sir Faraz Ahmed Rafiki, the base houses multiple squadrons of JF-17 and Mirage fighter jets, along with utility helicopters. On the other hand, Pakistan also mocks India after the Pakistan Air Force downed seven Indian jets during Operation Sindoor.

Even US President Donald Trump has mentioned Pakistan downing Indian jets during Operation Sindoor.

In response to the IAF’s dinner menu mocking Pakistan, Pakistani users hit back by sharing a viral image of a Pakistan Air Force officers’ mess bill dated February 27, 2019 — the day Indian Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman was captured. The bill humorously listed the item as “Chai – 1 cup” with the price marked as “MiG-21.
