Pakistani cricketer, skipper Salman Ali Agha, and Shaheen Shah Afridi have announced that they will donate their earnings from the tri-nation series to those affected by the devastating floods across the country.
Taking to X, Salman wrote: “Currently, our country is going through a difficult time. Myself Shaheen Afridi and I will donate the tri-nation series earnings to all affected by floods back home.” “I’d encourage our stars to donate in rebuilding for those whose lives are destroyed,” he added.
Pakistan won the tri-nation T20I series after defeating Afghanistan in the final match in Sharjah on Sunday, September 7. Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE participated in the tri-nation T20I series ahead of the Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to start from September 9 in the UAE.

The upper parts of Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab, and Central Punjab, have been badly affected by the devastating floods caused by the torrential rains. According to the National Disaster Management Authority, since late June, over 900 people have died and more than 1,400 villages have been inundated in Punjab. Over 1 million residents have been displaced in the Punjab province. Prior to the flooding in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan faced flash floods followed cloudburst situations at several places.
In a thrilling match, Pakistan registered a 75-run victory over Afghanistan in the tri-series finals in Sharjah on Sunday. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz claimed the title of man of the match after delivering a career-best performance, claiming five wickets with just 19 runs to dismantle Afghanistan’s half-batting lineup. Pakistan had scored 141 runs while Pakistan bowled out Afghanistan for just 66 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early to dismiss Rehmanullah Gurbaz before Nawaz took centre stage with a stunning hat-trick, removing Darvesh Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Ibrahim Zadran in quick succession. He later dismissed Kareem Jannat and Rashid Khan to complete his maiden five-wicket haul.
