Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan has officially entered the billionaire club. After a career spanning 33 years, the superstar now boasts a net worth of $1.4 billion, according to the Hurun Research Institute’s annual rich list, reported by the Hindustan Times.

This valuation puts Khan on par with global icons like Rihanna and Tiger Woods (both worth $1.4 billion), and just behind Taylor Swift ($1.6 billion) and Kim Kardashian ($1.7 billion), based on this year’s Forbes rankings.

The Hurun India Rich List 2025, released on Wednesday, states: “Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan (59), joins the billionaire club for the first time with a wealth of INR 12,490 crore.”
Khan has long held the title of India’s richest actor, but the latest list underlines the significant wealth gap between him and his peers. His business partner Juhi Chawla and her family follow with a net worth of $939 million, while Hrithik Roshan takes third place at $260 million.

In 2024, Khan’s net worth stood at $870 million, but his fortune has since surged, making him one of the wealthiest actors in the world with cinema as his primary source of income.
The Indian Express reports that the biggest driver of Khan’s wealth is his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, which he co-founded with his wife Gauri Khan in 2002. His portfolio also includes investments in cricket franchises and high-value real estate holdings in the Middle East, further boosting his fortune.
