The motion poster of Bollywood’s upcoming Taj story, starring Paresh Rawal, was shared on social media on Monday, triggering a strong backlash on social media. In an ex-post, the actor shared the motion picture, which depicted Lord Shiva, the Indian Hindu god idol, emerging from the dome of the Taj Mahal.
The motion poster was met with heavy criticism on social media, with many accusing the makers of raising up the past controversial claims that the monument built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan was constructed on the site of an older Hindu temple. The actor Paresh Rawal was forced to delete the post and shared her disclaimers from the makers of the Taj story saying the film doesn’t deal with any religious issue and only focuses on historical facts.
No! The movie pretty much deals with religion! Else, you wouldn’t be showing Shiv ji emerging out of Taj Mahal!
We are not going to watch this filthy movie! It will suffer the same fate as Narendra Modi Movie, Kerela Files, Ajey, Bengal Files, The Sabarmati Report, Savarkar etc.

The post read, “Disclaimer. The makers of the film The Taj Story clarify that the movie does not deal with any religious matters, nor does it claim that a Shiv temple resides within the Taj Mahal. It focuses solely on historical facts. We would kindly request you to watch the film and form your own opinion. Thank You, Swarnim Global Services Pvt. Ltd.”

There is a limit to shamelessness, Paresh Sir.
You had a well-settled personality, I never thought you would do such a cheap film.
The country is not run by opinion, sir, and for the opinion you are talking about, we have the Archaeological Department.

Oh, Paresh Rawal, the king of disclaimers! You’ve gone from playing Babu Bhaiya in Hera Pheri to defending historical “facts” that even the Taj Mahal might blush at. If this film uncovers the truth, does that mean your next role is Indiana Jones in a kurta? Careful..

The initial announcement post shared by Paresh Rawal read, “What if everything you’ve been taught is a lie? The truth isn’t just hidden; it’s being judged. Unveil the facts with #TheTajStory on 31st October in cinemas near you.”
Commenting on the poster, several social media users called it a movie based on propaganda that has been rejected several times. Many said that it was disheartening to see efforts to create divisions between Hindus and Muslims for the sake of vote bank politics. Another user commented that Taz’s story seems to be a propaganda movie built on a conspiracy theory that’s been debunked countless times.
The teaser of the Taj story was released by writer and director Toshar Amresh Goyal back in August, and it is being called a hard-hitting social drama. The teaser showed Paresh Rawal arguing about the intellectual removal of an entire community, which sets the foundation of the film’s plot. It is being called both a historical drama and a social commentary on facts.
According to the makers, the Taj story is not just another period or historical film, but it is a cinematic debate around the core themes. Among the core themes is a question that has sparked discussion for debate: who really built the Taj Mahal?
