“Trump Can Make a Difference”: Imran Khan’s Sons Appeal on Piers Morgan Show

Imran Khan’s sons, Kasim and Suleiman, have appealed to former U.S. President Donald Trump to help secure their father's release, saying he’s one of the few who can influence Pakistan’s establishment. Meanwhile, a visa application controversy has sparked questions about their citizenship status.

PTI founder Imran Khan’s sons stated on Friday that former U.S. President Donald Trump is someone who “can make a difference” in their father’s current imprisonment.

During an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kasim Khan was asked if he had any message for Trump. He responded, “If anyone can make a difference, it’s him.” Kasim further revealed that he and his brother had met with Trump’s close aide, Richard Grenell, who has publicly voiced support for Imran’s release on X.

“We know Trump and our father shared a strong relationship. They had meaningful conversations while in office and seemed to hold mutual respect,” Kasim added. “If Trump were to make a statement or engage with the Pakistani establishment, he’s one of the few who could actually help secure our father’s release. We’d definitely welcome a conversation with him or any form of support.”

Meanwhile, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khanum posted on X that his sons, Suleiman and Kasim, had applied for Pakistani visas and were awaiting approval from the interior ministry for their upcoming visit. “A few days ago, Suleiman and Kasim submitted their visa applications to the Pakistan High Commission in London. The ambassador has informed us that he’s waiting for clearance from the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad,” she wrote.

In response, Minister of State for Interior Tallal Chaudhry questioned Aleema’s previous claim that the siblings held National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). “If they do indeed have NICOPs, why would they need visas?” he asked. “What’s the real story here?”
