Taking the podium, PM Shehbaz expressed gratitude to Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for their efforts in brokering the historic peace deal.
“Today marks one of the greatest moments in modern history,” he said. “Peace has been achieved through the tireless efforts of President Trump — a true man of peace who has worked relentlessly, day and night, to make this world a place of harmony and prosperity.”

He went on to say, “Pakistan had earlier nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his extraordinary efforts to halt the conflict between India and Pakistan and prevent escalation between two nuclear powers. Today, I once again nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize for bringing peace to Gaza and saving millions of lives in the Middle East.”

PM Shehbaz praised Trump as well
PM Shehbaz praised Trump’s “visionary and exemplary leadership,” adding, “You are the leader this world needed most at this moment. History will remember you as the man who worked tirelessly to stop wars and promote peace — seven before, and now an eighth.”
The prime minister also thanked the Qatari Emir, as well as the leaders of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, for their roles in achieving the Gaza ceasefire. “Had it not been for this gentleman [Trump], who knows how far the India-Pakistan conflict could have escalated,” he remarked. “Similarly, his contribution here in the Middle East, alongside President Sisi, will be remembered in golden words.”
Retaking the podium, Trump responded humorously: “Wow! I didn’t expect that. Let’s go home — there’s nothing more I can add. That was really beautiful. Thank you very much.”
