A high-speed SUV registered under the name of JDC Foundation’s owner, Syed Zafar Abbas, struck a motorcycle near Ancholi, Karachi, critically injuring two young men. Reportedly, Zafar Abbas’s driver, Raib Raza Naqvi, was driving at the time of the accident.
The victims, Abdul Haidt, 18, and Hanif, 19, are cousins. Ahad’s condition is reported to be critical. The accident occurred when the speeding vehicle bearing registration number LEH0110 collided with the motorcycle and fled the scene.
Eyewitnesses picked up the number plate which had fallen off during the collision. Both injured men were rushed to the hospital on Charai vessel and later they were transferred to another hospital for further treatment.
Syed Zafar Abbas reportedly visited the hospital and facilitated the victims’ transfer to the second facility. SHO Saminabad Rana Ajmal reported that following the incident, both the vehicle and the drivers were made to disappear from the scene. Police visited the hospital to record the victims’ statement but due to their critical condition, the statement could not be taken.
Following the incident, an enraged mob gathered at the scene. The driver and other passengers managed to flee in the double cabin before the situation escalated. However, the vehicle’s number plate somehow detached and fell off. Shortly after the incident, Zafar Abbas arrived at the scene.

Eyewitnesses claimed that this team allegedly tried to snatch mobile phones from people recording videos of the incident. A video of the aftermath quickly went viral online, showing a perverted altercation between Zafar Abbas and the bystanders.
Zafar Abbas later assured that medical treatment would be provided to the injured. Online users are condemning the reckless and careless attitude shown by Zafar Abbas in the incident. Zafar Abbas is the owner of a philanthropic social charity organization, JDC, which is known for engaging in welfare activities in Karachi.
