While ICC World Cup remained the highlight of 2019, the year 2020 promises some enthralling sports events for Pakistanis fans.
Pakistan Super League
The year will begin with the Pakistan Super League tournament. All the matches of the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League will be played in Pakistan for the first time. The matches will not only be held in Karachi and Lahore but all across Pakistan, implying that the whole nation will rejoice the action-packed moments of PSL this year in their own cities. It is expected to start on February 20th and will end on March 22nd.
ICC Women’s T20 World Cup
The seventh ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will begin on February 21st and will end on March 8th. Ten international teams will be vying for the trophy in Australia. Pakistan’s women cricket team will also be participating in the tournament, however, still in its development phase, it has the potential to give some spectacular performances.

India and Pakistan will only come face-to-face if they both qualify for the qualifiers round since they are placed in different groups.
Wilder vs Fury II
American boxing beast Deondray Wilder and British boxer Tyson Fury will fight each fight on February 23rd. They first met in December and will now meet in Las Vegas for the WBC, Lineal and vacant The Ring Heavyweight titles.
European Championship 2020
The European Championship 2020 will begin on June 12 & will continue till July 12. Portugal will be defending its title this year featuring one of the best athlete in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo. Interestingly, the matches will be co-hosted by various countries.
Tokyo Olympics 2020
Japan’s capital, Tokyo, will be hosting the grand Olympics this year. Tokyo will be hosting the Olympics for the second time. Several Pakistani athletes will be participating in the Olympics. The sporting event will begin on July 24 and end on Aug 9.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup
The highly-anticipated sporting event will be held later in the year. It will begin from October 18 to Nov 15 in Australia. Pakistani team, among the top-ranked T20 teams, is the potential winner of the title. Babar Azam from Pakistan cricket team is currently the world’s best T20 batsman.
