PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto has threatened to stop the upcoming OIC Conference in Islamabad if the government fails to call the National Assembly session by Monday.
In his latest talk on Saturday evening, Bilawal Bhutto said that he will urge the opposition parties to block the OIC conference if the government did not table the no-confidence motion against PM Imran Khan by Monday. “We will see how the OIC moot takes place in Islamabad,” Bilawal Bhutto said while threatening the government. He also condemned the attack on Sindh House by PTI supporters.
According to the reports, the dissident MNAs of PTI had been staying at Sindh House in Islamabad. These parliamentarians had decided to vote against PM Imran Khan in the no-confidence motion.
His statements came during the joint press conference by the opposition parties in a bid to mount pressure to present the no-confidence motion in the National Assembly at its earliest.
His statements have generated an interesting debate on social media. Political commentators and analysts have questioned the need for Bilawal Bhutto to threaten to block the OIC Conference to be held in Islamabad scheduled for March 22nd and 23rd when the opposition claims to have an edge over the government.

His statements have raised eyebrows of the analyst who seems to question why the opposition parties seem to be unnerved all of a sudden. Bilawal Bhutto is garnering extreme criticism on social media for passing statements that netizens are calling ‘anti-Pakistan’ and irresponsible.
Social media users believe that his statements are punitive for Pakistan’s stature globally. Some reminded him how his grandfather, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, hosted the OIC Conference in Lahore in 1974.
On the other hand, reports are circulating on social media that some of the dissidents are planning to return to PTI after the ruling party has decided to file a Presidential Reference in Supreme Court against the no-confidence motion and party members voting against the party.
