Pakistan’s MMA fighter Anita Karim beats Aussie opponent in Thailand

Pakistan’s first-ever female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Anita Karim wins against Australian opponent Uyen Ha with a unanimous decision under Fairtex Fight Promotion at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand

The 25-year-old fighter from Hunza beat her opponent in all the three rounds of the bantamweight fight. Her brother Uloomi Karim took to social media to inform us about her victory. He mentioned that Anita Karim is the only Pakistani martial arts fighter who has fought at the prestigious Lumpinee Stadium.

“Anita Karim getting another W after putting on a clinic today at Fairtex Fight Promotion in Bangkok, Thailand. P.s. Anita is the only female Pakistani (and one of the VERY FEW women in the WORLD) to have fought at the world-famous Lumpinee Stadium!” he wrote in a tweet.

Anita Karim rose to fame after defeating Indonesian opponent Gita Suharsono in One Warrior Series (OWS) back in 2019. Anita Karim is also known as the ‘arm collector.’

Karim posted her video of winning the fight on her Twitter account. She expressed gratitude for winning another accolade for Pakistan.

“Another one, Alhumdulillah All praises to the Almighty and a big thank you to everyone who showed love and support. Huge shoutout to my team @fairtexofficial for the knowledge and for pushing me every single day to get better! #teamfightfortress #anitakarim,” said Anita Karim in her tweet.

Messages of felicitation and appreciation poured in for Anita Karim on social media. Pakistani Twitter users were impressed with her powerful knocks in the fight. Netizens said that Pakistan is proud of Anita Karim for winning the fight.

Anita Karim is the first international female mixed martial arts fighter from Pakistan who has won multiple international and national fights. She was born into a family of MMA fighters. Karim, along with her brothers, Uloomi Karim, Ehtisham Karim, and Ali Sultan, founded the MMA gym, “Fight Fortress”, which is one of the first MMA training centers in Pakistan
