Ali Zafar channels inner Ertugul to play heroic warrior in upcoming short film

The singer is seen wearing a long hair wig and wielding a sword in one of the viral images.

Pakistani singer Ali Zafar is working with the mobile brand – Tecno – to produce the country’s first heroic action short film titled ‘Real Hero’. The brand made the announcement on Sunday in a post on Twitter. The posters of the short film show Zafar donned a costume that looked similar to the costumes worn by warriors in the famous Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul or Resurrection Ertugrul.

The singer’s avatar resembles the Ertugrul warriors in the poster. Fans have been anticipating that the company might be producing a short film like Dirilis Ertugrul. The poster of the short film insinuates that the singer-turned-actor will be playing a lead role in the movie. However, not many details regarding the character, plot, and structure of the movie have been revealed by the brand.

The brand says they have hired Zafar as its brand ambassador. “Brace yourself because TECNO is cooperating with the famous director and national star to bring you the first heroic action short film of Pakistan ‘REAL HERO’. Can you take a guess who the #RealHero is? Stay tuned to find out!” wrote the brand in a tweet.

In the first poster of the short film, the producers had not shown the face of the Pakistani singer. Hence people assumed that the mobile brand has hired Ertugrul sensation, Engin Altan Duzyatan. However, the brand soon rested the speculations with the second poster that featured Zafar, released on Thursday, 10th September.

“Presenting you the official poster of #RealHero short action film! Played by the national star #Alizafar. Directed by the mastermind @Asadulhaq. TECNO also signed Ali Zafar as the ambassador of #Spark6,” wrote the brand yesterday.
