Army Brass reiterated “Stern action will be ensured” against “Unfounded and baseless allegations“

The COAS, in the conference, extended sincere tributes to the fallen heroes—both military personnel and civilians.

The 264th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) convened at GHQ under the leadership of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir saw discussions and acknowledgments of crucial national and regional security matters. The COAS, in the conference, extended sincere tributes to the fallen heroes—both military personnel and civilians—who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s peace and stability.

General Munir commended the relentless efforts of the Pakistan Army and Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in foiling numerous terrorist plots and eliminating key terrorist figures during ongoing counterterrorism operations. Emphasizing proactive measures, he directed commanders to deny terrorists any foothold, asserting the nation’s resolve, alongside the Armed Forces and LEAs, to eradicate terrorism permanently.

The conference also strongly condemned recent heartless attacks against Chinese nationals in Besham and innocent civilians in Balochistan. Concerns were raised regarding the threat posed by terrorist groups operating from Afghanistan, noting their role as proxies against Pakistan’s interests, particularly the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Regarding regional dynamics, the forum expressed solidarity with Kashmiri and Palestinian populations, condemning human rights violations and advocating for their rights. Concerns were also voiced over escalating tensions in the Middle East, urging immediate de-escalation to prevent wider conflict.

Propaganda will not be tolerated

Moreover, the conference addressed the malicious propaganda aimed at undermining the Armed Forces vowing to counter such efforts and uphold legal and constitutional standards.

“Unfounded and baseless allegations on Law Enforcement Agencies and Security Forces have become a fashion and are part of the larger design to drive a wedge between the people and the Armed Forces of Pakistan. We will not allow such efforts to succeed and as per the law and constitution, stern action will be ensured,” The forum affirmed.

It pledged support to the government’s efforts for sustainable socioeconomic growth, emphasizing the crackdown on illegal activities like smuggling, hoarding, and electricity theft, along with ensuring the safe repatriation of illegal foreigners.
