Azeri family plays Pakistan’s iconic Dil Dil Pakistan in a viral video

The viral video first surfaced in May this year, shared by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Alizada, on his official Twitter account.

The video of an Azeri family playing Pakistan’s iconic song, Dil Dil Pakistan, resurfaced on social media recently. The video shows popular Azeri musician, Turan, playing the song on the piano with her parents.

The viral video first surfaced in May this year, shared by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Ali Alizada, on his official Twitter account.

“Wonderful performance of the Pakistani song“#DilDilPakistan”by @manafzadeturan&her parents (@MaestroManafov)in solidarity with brotherly country #Pakistanfighting #COVİD19 pandemic. She is the honored artist of @Azerbaijan, composer & 1 of the few women conductors of the world,” wrote the ambassador in his tweet.

The video has become even more relevant after Pakistan expressed solidarity with Azerbaijan in the latter’s ongoing conflict with Armenia. Earlier this week, the Azeri ambassador had posted about the historical relations between Multan and Baku, capital of Azerbaijan.

“#Multan city of Pakistan and #Ganja city of Azerbaijan established sister city relations in 1996 which need to firmly activate. #Multani #Caravanserai in #Baku is one of another testimonies of historic links between the peoples of #Azerbaijan and #Pakistan as well!,” informed Alizada in his tweet.

A little research revealed that an inn named Multani Caravanserai was established in the area in the 14th century. It is opposite to the Bukhara Caravanserai. Now Multan is the name of the city in Pakistan. The merchants and Zoroastrians from India harnessed this caravanserai as a stop.

The brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan has been a trending atop on social media. A video showing Azeri people waving the national flags of Pakistan and Turkey in the streets of Azerbaijan went viral on social media last week. The video showed three cars crossing a road in an unidentified city of Azerbaijan, as the people inside the cars waved the flags of Turkey and Pakistan.

The people travelling in the car waved flags of both the countries to express love for them. Pakistan and Turkey have voiced strong support to Azerbaijan in its ongoing conflict with Armenia.
