Previously the arctic wasn’t given any heed but the daunting effects of climate change have given it a stronger jolt and have placed it as pertinent geography that will play a vital role in the global power struggle.

Greater sophistication has come to the US and European methods for keeping the developing countries under their thumb. Instead of military interventions, these countries are throttled by the US-controlled financial institutions like the IMF, World Bank, Asian Bank, and FATF.

These discriminatory policies have a global significance because India has the world’s third-largest Muslim population, after Indonesia and Pakistan. Out of the estimated Indian population of 1.4 billion, about 210 million – 15% – are Muslim.

Since its inception, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been mired in one controversy after another. Opposition parties have strongly believed that it was being used as a political tool to victimize them.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the real estate market value is between $300 to $400 billion, about 2% of Pakistan’s total Gross domestic product (GDP). It is not a small amount. It is a massive loss for the Pakistan economy if it is out of circulation.

Bureaucracy continues to be a major hurdle in our progress as such its wings have to be clipped not strengthened for the nation to fly and reach heights. To balance the budget there should be massive cuts in salaries and perks of the non-performing state apparatus

Pakistan also needs to bring China and the US together by removing the US apprehensions and misunderstandings about CPEC. For this to happen, US sensitivities and fears about Chinese activities in the India – Pacific region should be addressed. 

Pakistanis, led by ousted prime minister Imran Khan, saw the visit to Israel as part of an effort by Pakistan’s powerful military to forge closer ties to the Jewish state – a move Mr. Khan appears to have considered when he was in office.
