Influencer couple pays $95k for a gender reveal party at Burj Khalifa

Influencer couple decided to reveal the gender of their second child at Burj Khalifa Tower. The video of the event went viral on social media.

A UAE-based Syrian influencer couple reportedly paid $95000 for a gender reveal party. The Syrian social media influencers Anas and Asala Marwah hosted the grand gender reveal party at the world’s tallest building-Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Luxurious gender reveal party at Burj Khalifa Tower

The couple decided to reveal the gender of their second child on Burj Khalifa Tower. The video of the event soon went viral on social media. Anas and Asala run a YouTube channel named ‘The Anasala Family’ with 7 million followers. The viral video shows the iconic Burj Khalifa tower projecting the message, ‘It’s the boy’.

The Ansala Family finally announced that they are having a baby boy during the event. ”We wanted a really unique idea, something that would be memorable,” Asala Maleh said in a YouTube video. A video that social media stars shared on YouTube two days ago shows the tower lit up in blue after a dramatic countdown. The whole stunt reportedly has costed the couple $95000.

Viral gender reveal party event video receives mixed reactions

The video shared on their Instagram account has been viewed more than 1.7 million times and has garnered 15 million views on YouTube.

However, the event received mixed reactions from the people on social media. While many lauded the couple for hosting a lavish party at the Burj Khalifa, others called the event as  ‘extravagant’ and ‘show off’. The critics said they could have donated the money spent on the event to the needy people in Syria or Africa. Moreover, the event at Burj Khalija in Dubai came at a time when the gender reveal party in California, the USA sparked a massive wildfire.

Other reports claim the couple booked Burj Khalifa for a three-minute gender long reveal party and paid a hefty amount. Meanwhile, a publication claimed that the gender reveal party was a gift from Burj Khalifa and Emaar to the couple and that the they had not paid any money for the event.
