Internet users have spotted a Pakistani doppelganger of famous Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan in a YouTuber. Pakistani social media users say Mustafa Hanif bears an uncanny resemblance to Dirilis Ertugrul’s lead actor Engin Altan Duzyatan.
The Pakistani doppelganger of Engin Altan Duzyatan, Mustafa Hanif also runs his YouTube channel. Hence, his followers have named him ‘Pakistani Ertugurl’. Engin Altan Duzyatan had played a lead character of a warrior Ertugrul in Turkish serial Engin Altan Duzyatan. He received unprecedented praise and popularity in success after the broadcast of Dirilis Ertugrul in Pakistan.

“My name is Mustafa and many people in my office had watched Diriliş: Ertuğrul before it even came into Pakistan or started airing on PTV. I was often told that I resemble the leading character of the serial but I never paid much heed to it. Then when my own family started watching the show and said the same, I watched it too and was baffled,” Hanif said in an online interview.

Before watching Dirilis Ertugrul, Mustafa Hanif uploaded videos promoting tourism in Pakistan. After watching the serial, Mustafa Hanif now uploads reviews of the serial on the platform.
He also uploaded a video riding a horse and donning the outfit of Ertugrul. His video garnered massive appreciation from internet users. Mustafa Hanif hails from Karachi and has a degree in International Relations. He is currently doing a job in a private firm.
In his interview, he also recounted an incident following the surge in his popularity. He said a few days ago, he went to the market without wearing a face mask, people recognized him and started talking to him. Hanif expressed his wish to visit Turkey and meet the lead actor Engin Altan Duzyatan. He, however, expressed no desire to meet Esra Bilgic.
He also commented on the recent vitriol against Turkish actors on social media. “Several disputes on the personal lives of the cast of dramas often emerge on social media, but we should view their personal lives differently from their roles,” said the Pakistani doppelganger of Engin Altan.
