A female student died while reciting Quran to her teacher and fellow pupils on Monday in Riyadh. The charitable center offered its condolence and sympathy to the family of the deceased student.
The girl named, Sharifah Bint Mehser Al-Qahtani, passed away when she was reciting verses to her teacher from the Holy Quran.

In a statement, the association said: “The Ta’lam Association Riyadh Branch extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased, Sharifa Bint Mesfer Al-Qahtani. May God bless her.”
Not many details have been revealed about the girl or the family. The reason for her death has not been shared. People on social media expressed grief over the death, praying that God bestows peace, mercy, and blessings on her soul.

Other similar incidents
Several incidents have been reported earlier where people have died suddenly while offering prayers or reciting Quran.
In 2017, an Indonesian Qari died during a televised recitation of the Quran. Sheikh Ja’far AbdulRahman was a revered Indonesian Quran reciter.
He was reciting Surah Al-Mulk from the Holy Quran when the incident happened. The video of the Qari had been widely shared on social media. Several social media users who circulated the video had commented “what an honorable way to die” and wished the same fate for them and their loved ones.

Another incident was reported in which a man died during obligatory prayer. The man died in a sujood position while performing prayer.
There is a widely-held belief among Muslims that whoever dies while praying or reciting Holy Quran will go to heaven. It is because the person was closest to God while worshipping Him.
